USES OF I.T. |
I don't know where I'd be without the use of a computer. From researching design ideas and clipart, to creating borders, titles, and adding information using design programs such as Microsoft Publisher. Firstly if I'm completely stuck for design ideas I type in keywords into Google Images and see if anything comes up (Google is the best search engine in that it creates more hits). I add words such as 'patterns', 'borders', 'frames' and 'clipart' to see if any good ideas for a themed border comes up. The very best program I've found for creating little comments to add to displays is Microsoft Publisher. Copy and pasting royalty free clipart from the internet, you can then play around with it to create some stunning effects. Use the picture toolbar to add tranparency to parts, or lighten a picture so that you can add text over top. You can even create banners which are printed onto A4 and then pieced together. I really suggest you take the time to play with this program. There are some excellent royalty-free websites which provide clipart and backgrounds for use without having to pay or be subject to licensing laws. Type "royalty free" and either "images" "photographs" "clipart" or "backgrounds" into any search engine and there are hundreds to choose from. |
